PTSCO Minutes
Wednesday May 7, 2025, 5:30-6:30 pm.

Called to order at 5:35pm
Welcome and Introductions:

- Updates are going great. Agenda and minutes will be hosted on new site
- Teacher Appreciation Breakfast-Pam Fitzgibbons
- Thank you to everyone who donated goods, money, flowers, and your time
- It would be nice to have a better drop-off for donations
- We needed a bigger coffee urn
- Might price out a large urn and a large coffee maker that will be owned by PTSCO
- We have no need for plates, forks, spoons, napkins, and cups for 2-3 years (we have an overflow)

- Class of 2025 (Senior) Scholarship Update- Danielle Grzymala
- Instructions were sent out in October with due date for April 2. There were no applicants. Turns out it never got sent out to students.
- Resent on Friday, May 4th with new due date May 16th
- Class of 2029 (8th Grade)- Tava Shanchuk
- 8th grade PTSCO Award
- Sent out criteria for 8th grade award. Guidance has not given us those two names. The awards will be given to the students on Moving Up day
- Pathfinder Memorial Day Weekend
- Chaperones are going through the process of getting fingerprinting
- Mrs. Hannah got the cost issue taken care of (parents don’t have to pay to have the fingerprinting done for Pathfinder). The money is coming from school accounts.
- There are eighteen parent chaperones
- Question- will BPS take fingerprinting from the state or a federal agency?
- Mrs. Hannah- we will have to check on that
- This is the largest groups of CHS kids going to Pathfinder to date
- Chaperones are going through the process of getting fingerprinting
- 5-8 middle school dance
- 234 tickets sold so far. That’s roughly 30 more tickets sold than last year
- Will there be any faculty or staff chaperones?
- Mrs. Hannah- will follow up tomorrow
- There are ten parent chaperones
- Field Days
- Early June, date TBA
- Mrs. Hannah- we have some water, juice, and cookie trays for 8th grade field days
- Moving Up Day

- Tava will be shifting her energy to the senior class of 2026 next year

- 2025-2026 Meeting Dates
- Currently we are the first Wednesday of the month, alternating online and in-person
- There was one conflict with the Foundation this year
- Foundation meetings will be on the second Wednesday each month
- Decided: we will keep the format for next year

- 2025-2026 School Year planning – all events will need chairperson(s)

- Regents and Assessments are wrapping up
- The Blue Ribbon drone photo was successful and proofs look great
- They are being printed by Minute Print and should be available for students next week
- Letters going out to Juniors for senior pics: Friday May 23rd this year.
- There will be more dates in the summer and a couple added for the fall

- Hilltop Notes are being built out

- AP art/design class is full. Giving precedence to seniors
