Called to order 5:32 pm

  • Old Business/Past Events
    • Haunted Lockers/ Ice Cream Social: Friday October 24, 2025- Cristina Glover
      • Fifth and Sixth Graders
      • There was no grade-level reps available, Cristina ran the event and is suggesting the proceeds should go to the general fund
        • Comments: Q: what was the outreach to the fifth and sixth grade parents? A: PTSCO advertised for volunteers on Hilltop Notes and social media.
          • Consensus: It needs to be made clear that parents from the grade that is having the event must volunteer or funds will not go to them.
        • Consensus: 15% to 5th grade, 15% to 6th grade, 70% go to the PTSCO general fund 
      • $828 came in, $455 expenses, $372 proceeds
        • Tickets were $4 for everyone, including students 
  • New Business/Upcoming Events
    • Treasurer Report
      • Decision on what to do with the Haunted Lockers money- above
    • Hilltop Homecoming November 21
      • Decorating: Rickus will be setting up lighting for Homecoming in the atrium
      • Ice Cream- PTSCO will provide ice cream treats for the event
      • There was an announcement on HillTop Notes requesting volunteers for the decorating committee
        • Students are being surveyed for the theme
          • Theme is TBD
    • Class of 2026- Tava & Danielle
      • Fundraisers have been successful
        • Movie night was a big success
        • Restaurant fundraisers have been successful
      • Sweatshirts are in the works 
      • Working on a Senior Trip- possibly overnight
    • Ways to get more parents involved in PTSCO?
      • Create list of potential volunteers (even if they are people that don’t come to PTSCO meetings)
      • Create a parent manual (Tava has started this)
      • Have Mr. Patterson send out a blurb about joining PTSCO
      • Danielle & Mrs. Hannah will talk offline to see how we can reach out to parents
    • PTSCO website discussion
      • Website is not optimized for mobile
      • Updates? Who will update the website when Cristina is no longer prez?
        • Can a student do it for an IB project? A club project?
    • Winter Bazaar: December 17th
      • During lunch periods
        • Limit food sales and opt for gifts and experiences
  • Update from Administration – Dr. Kresse/Ms. Hannah
    • New Assistant principal- helping to create SCEP
      • Danielle serving as parent rep for the SCEP committee. Need a second parent to sit on that committee. 
      • Cardinal Craze- week before Thanksgiving
        • Student planning for the events for the week
      • Construction walk-throughs going on with architect and BPS
        • There will be a lot of interior construction
        • Sound “clouds” will help displace some sound issues
      • Fall sports ending, Winter sport registration is starting sign up
      • Haunted Lockers was a great success
      • Winter Cheer Coach- Sara Kowalchak 
  • SBMT Update
    • New Assistant Principal
    • IT report- 10/16 all students have laptops
      • IT person is only in the building on Fridays
      • There is no consistency for laptops across BPS
    • BTF last year of their contract, going into negotiations
    • Health and Wellness needs more volunteers
  • BPTO Update
    • Need more volunteers for BPTO
    • Erie County Restorative Justice gave a talk to the group
      • Have seen success in reduction of suspensions
  • Wellness Team Update
    • Red Ribbon Week Very Successfull
    • Need more people on the Wellness Team (volunteers- students and parents)
  • DPCC Update
    • Moved to the South Park Town Hall
    • Next Town Hall: At MSP Nov. 13th 
  • Pelion Garden – Cassandra Seawell
    • Nov 8th Pelion Squash, Chop & Drop!
      • Please drop your squash and pumpkins to the garden for compost
      • School 45 is currently working on composting 
      • Dr. Kresse is looking into the BPS and Farmer Pirates partnership 
    • In need of a carpenter to fix the windows of the shed

    • Dec 11th= Outdoor Cookie Exchange
      • There will be a Sign-up Genius for the event
