Fall ’24
Welcome to the City Honors community!
As PTSCO President, I am honored to work alongside parents, teachers, students, and administrators to foster a collaborative and supportive environment. Our mission is to strengthen connections, support school programs, and enhance every student’s educational experience.
Through events, volunteer opportunities, and open communication, PTSCO plays a vital role in building a thriving school community. We invite you to get involved, stay informed, and help us make a difference.
City Honors PTSCO serves as a bridge between parents, teachers, and students, ensuring that everyone is connected and empowered. Our work includes organizing events, supporting school initiatives, and creating a space for open communication within our community.
Throughout the school year, we host a variety of events that enrich the educational experience and build a sense of belonging among our community members.
These include:
- Family Nights: Fun and educational activities for families to enjoy together. Such as our Family Welcome Back Night & Activities Fair.
- Social Events: “The Haunted Lockers”, “The Winter Bazaar”, The Spring Bazaar, School Dances and Field Trips all help to enhance the social environment of City Honors.
- Fundraisers: Our Annual (Adults Only) Comedy Night Fundraiser supports our Annual Fund
- Workshops: Offering sessions on important topics such as college preparation, and mental health awareness.
- Scholarship and Awards: 8th Grade Moving Up Day Awards & Senior Scholarship Fund.
The success of City Honors PTSCO relies on active community involvement. We encourage all parents and guardians to volunteer in ways that match their interests and abilities. Whether it’s helping at an event, joining a committee, or sharing your expertise on a project, your participation makes a significant impact. So, if you’re new to the group, feel free to dip a toe in PTSCO—there’s a place for everyone!
We value transparency and open communication to keep our community engaged and informed. PTSCO offers several ways for you to stay connected:
- Hilltop Notes: As regular contributors to the City Honors Hilltop Notes you will find current updates on the latest PTSCO events, and volunteer opportunities.
- Social Media: Follow us on facebook for real-time updates and community stories.
- Meetings: Join our regular PTSCO General Body meetings to voice ideas, ask questions, and be part of decision-making.
As we embark on another school year, I am excited to work together to support each student’s journey. PTSCO is here to collaborate with you, listen to your needs, and create an inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
Thank you for your commitment to our school community. I look forward to meeting you all and working together to make this a successful year.
Welcome once again to the City Honors family!
